We realized that we needed some good images of how the proposed changes would look but learned that some courses spend hundreds of thousands of dollars to create virtual videos. We are more frugal than that so what we did is:
We spent $15,000 for a LiDAR scan of the golf course with high resolution imagery. If we want to do any construction work we have to do a LiDAR scan so the construction companies have an accurate and up to date topo map for grading plans. So this cost was something that we had to spend, and should spend, for a detailed map of our main asset - our property.
We spent $500 for "The LiDAR King" to convert our LiDAR data into the PGA Tour 2k21 video game.
A member went and edited the resulting course with the proposed plans and created the videos.
The end result are two virtual copies of the Richmond Golf Club course - one as it is today and one of how it will look with our proposed plan.
Our current is course in the PGA Tour 2K21 and 2k23 video games.
The current course name is "Richmond Golf Club CA 23" and is available in both PGA Tour 2K21 and 2K23.
A virtual version of the proposed course will be available soon.
We then edited the current course per the Bob Vincent Plans and then created some videos of the proposed changes.
Here is our YouTube Channel with All the videos in Sequence
We also created some virtual photos of the course and here is an image carousel of them. Use the arrows in the image to scroll between them.
